What is Bible Quizzing?
VISION: to assist teens to connect with God in a deeper way by experiencing Him and expanding His Kingdom.
Canadian Midwest Quizzing (CMQ) is a Bible-memorization program developed for teens in Grade 7 to Grade 12. Through weekly practices run by adult volunteer coaches in their home church, teens systematically study and memorize books from the New Testament.
CMQ prepares a schedule of material to be studied weekly by each local group. The study material is taken from the New International Version (NIV).
CMQ also schedules and runs five competitive tournaments held on weekends from September to May during each school year. During these events, the participants gather as teams from across Saskatchewan, Manitoba and Northern Ontario to compete on the verses they have memorized. In addition to the competitive aspect of these tournaments, the weekend events also include social activities and worship services. Meals for the weekend are included in the registration cost and lodging is provided by volunteer billets from the host homes (screened according to CMQ’s Plan to Protect policy).
Quizzing is a ministry of Life Impact Ministries of the Christian and Missionary Alliance and Canadian Midwest Quizzing comes under the authority of the Canadian Midwest District of the C&MA.
